Principal's Welcome

A Note from the Principal:

Welcome back for the 2024-2025 school year! I am beyond excited to get this year started and welcome everyone back. Let me introduce myself to those who are new to our building. I have spent my entire professional career at Patrick Henry beginning as a fifth grade teacher then serving as the Instructional Coach and now going into my eighth year as principal. It has always been my goal to build lasting relationships with students and parents of this school. My focus daily is for all students to be seen, heard and loved!

Last year was a very successful year for our school because our students and staff worked hard to achieve different goals through lots of hard work, dedication and persistence. Beyond our academic success, our Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) team has crafted a list of specific behaviors for each area in our school to teach to our students. These behavioral expectations are meant to teach our students to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe in every area of the school including the bus. As a school, we strive to challenge our students to reach new heights in their educational experience. We will build upon our success and look to achieve greater heights this year.

In addition to this we implemented our House System! There are five "houses" within in in the school in which each student and staff member is part of one house. Each house has a special name, color, chant, hand motion and song! Umba, Loba, Alba, Menentuken, and Kuleana make up our five houses but we remain on "PH"amily! We look forward to building upon the success of the house system this year!

Also, PH has prided itself in creating many after-school clubs for our students to join. These include but not limited to Art Club, Youth in Motion, Robotics, Kid Wind, Junior Librarian Club, Gardening Club, and STEP Team. My team is constantly looking at other partnerships to add more clubs to our after-school opportunities.

Parents, your support and involvement are vital to your child’s success so I encourage you to come join us throughout the year at school events, lunch or even sign up to join the PTO. We welcome your suggestions that will help our school become greater!

Again, I am thrilled to serve the Panther family this year and appreciate your support! The staff is looking forward to a successful year and building of relationships! Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance to you.
